The accelerated plan check review process is conducted by staff after regular business hours.
The City of El Segundo's regular plan check review process has an initial turnaround time of 3 weeks for each plan with a 2-week turnaround time for plans that are resubmitted because of required corrections.
El Segundo's accelerated plan check review process has a turnaround time of 1 week for projects with a valuation of less than $1,000,000 and 2 weeks for projects with a valuation of $1,000,000 or greater.
Some plans that are less complex are reviewed and approved at the public counter so that permits can be issued the same day.
